Correspondence

Everything which arrives is read, although a reply is made only where it may be useful. Questions, proposed subjects, and corrections are welcome; a disagreement may also be sent if it contains something beyond the news that one exists. A clear purpose and legible prose will improve the prospect of an answer considerably.

Letters may also be sent directly to [email protected].

Private memorandum

I observe that a modern household can usually produce several cables whose purpose nobody remembers, while a serviceable shoe brush must be searched for. The proportion appears to me unfortunate.
