Crale's Guide is built with Astro from Markdown written in Obsidian, then published as static HTML with plain CSS, a small script, and an RSS feed.

Materials

The pages use Georgia and the reader's monospaced system face, with IM Fell English reserved for italic passages. That face originated with Google Fonts and is served from the site itself. Colour, rules, and spacing belong to the style sheet; the social preview is a small SVG title card kept alongside it.

Dispatch

The RSS feed is produced from the same publication catalogue. An email dispatch may be added when it can be maintained with comparable simplicity.

A note from the butler

I observe that a modern household can usually produce several cables whose purpose nobody remembers, while a serviceable shoe brush must be searched for. The proportion appears to me unfortunate.
